Girl Scouts have fun no matter what the weather and at Camp Camellia Rose we keep moving on, even if it’s raining. Please have your campers pack a rain poncho in their bags every day.
In the event of severe weather, the campers will be moved indoors, and kept occupied, until it is time for dismissal.
If the weather prevents us from using the boats to cross the lake, either in the morning or at the end of the day, parents will still use the Payne Camp site for drop off and pick up. Parents are asked not to attempt to drop off or pick up their campers at our site since the one-lane road would make the traffic impossible.
In the event of inclement weather, campers will be driven to and from Wildlife Action in the camp vans. If this does occur, we ask for your patience since our vans hold a lot less girls than our boats.
